Michelle “The Karate Hottie” Waterson’s Racy Appearance in ESPN Body Issue

Mixed martial arts fans with an attraction to beautiful women running around starkers with nothing but a samurai sword in hand are in luck because it seems there’s been a quick preview released of UFC strawweight Michelle Waterson’s appearance in the ESPN 2017 “Body Issue” magazine. The “Karate Hottie” as she is known appears in the magazine alongside Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz and his wife Julie Ertz from the United States women’s soccer side, NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas and New Zealand All Blacks centre Malakai Fekitoa.

Waterson is no stranger to modelling, having been featured in the “Knockouts” calendar back in 2008, a calendar that, if you haven’t guessed it, depicts some of the combat sports world’s most beautiful women.

Waterson’s last outing in the UFC’s octagon was not the best result. Waterson entered the Octagon riding a two-fight winning streak, having submitted Angela Magana in the third round of their fight via rear naked choke, and stopping the hype train that was Paige VanZant with a rear naked choke as well.

Facing up against Rose Namajunas, Waterson finally ended up with a taste of what VanZant and Magana had gone through, tapping to a rear naked choke after Namajunas battered her for almost two rounds. She is now reported to be training hard back at the Jackson-Wink MMA Academy, though no bout for her has been scheduled as of yet.

Waterson is now represented by the UFC’s owner, WME|IMG, so we have no doubt that we will see her back in the cage soon as the Hollywood talent agency seeks to propel her into the next level of mixed martial arts superstardom.

Fans of the “Fight Mom” Michelle Waterson can catch the ninth annual Body Issue when it comes to stores on July 7th, though video and images will be coming online as early as July 5th. Waterson is now among a small group of UFC fighters who have bared all in front of the cameras for ESPN, including former women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, Cris Cyborg, lightweight champion Conor McGregor and embattled former light heavyweight champion and star Jon Jones.
