WATCH: Chris Eubank Jr Shows Off His Lightning Hand Speed

It’s safe to say that if you’re one of the world’s top super middleweights, you’re going to have some incredible hands on you. That’s certainly true for the current IBO super middleweight, former WBA and British middleweight titleholder Chris Eubank Jr.

With an impressive professional boxing record standing at 26 wins and 1 loss, Eubank Jr has come to be known for his incredible knockout power, having taken home twenty of his victories by knockout, with just won controversial split in his entire career against Billy Joe Saunders in late 2014.

Eubank Jr set chins wagging earlier this weekend when he outlined Avni Yildirim 59 punches to 23, to stop the Turkish boxer in the third round of their World Boxing Super Series bout. Eubank Jr is set to take on WBA champ George Groves or Jamie Cox at Wembley Arena on the 14th of October in the semi-final.

Eubank Jr sent Yildirim to the canvas in the first round of the bout, having landed a number of devastating strikes on his opponent early in the round. The knockout was delivered with a heavy left hook that almost seemed to reverberate throughout the stadium.

“I’m here to dominate this tournament. I’m sending a message out there that I’m coming. George Groves, get through your next fight so we can give the boxing fans what they want to see,” said Eubank Jr after the bout.

“I think it’s going to be exactly the same as what we saw tonight. I’m not playing anymore.”

“He was a strong come-forward fighter. But the experience is not there for him,” said Eubank Jr of his opponent Yildirim.

“He was 16-0 but he has to work technically on his abilities to compete with a fighter like me.”

Eubank Jr could possibly take home a prize of $25 million if he comes away the winner of the World Boxing Super Series, as well as a trophy named after Muhammad Ali.
