WATCH: Francis Ngannou ANNILHILATES World Record for Punching Power
Francis “The Predator” Ngannou is possibly one of the scariest human beings on the planet. The up-and-coming UFC heavyweight has made waves since first making it into the octagon, where the Cameroonian-French mixed martial artist has won all five of his fights by stoppage, with four of those coming by way of knockout or technical knockout. With absolutely devastating power in his fists, the 31-year-old has been terrifying the heavyweight division since 2015.
Now the men up the ladder from Ngannou have a new reason to fear him. With a record of 10-1 professionally, Ngannou has proved he’s no slouch when it comes to beating the brakes off someone, with his only loss coming by way of decision early in his career.
Many fans of mixed martial arts were blown away by his first round knockout victory over veteran heavyweight Andrei Arlovski, and they wait with bated breath as Ngannou prepares to take on another heavyweight staple, Alistair Overeem.
“The Reem” boasts an illustrious record as a fighter, having collected titles in Strikeforce, Dream and K-1 and being a huge fan favourite in PRIDE. He is currently ranked at #1 in the UFC heavyweight division and is making his way back into title contention after losing to heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic by knockout in September 2016.
Overeem is looking to extend his win-streak to three having recently defeated Mark Hunt by knockout at UFC 209 and Fabricio Werdum in a majority decision at UFC 213 in July. He’s certainly going to have his hands full when it comes to Ngannou, who broke Tyrone Spong’s punching power record of 114,000 units with an insane jump of 129,161 units.
To put it simply, if you ever see Francis “The Predator” Ngannou walking down the street looking upset, you’d be wise to run away, because he could no doubt kill anyone he wanted to with the power he possesses in those cinderblock-hands of his.
Sitting as the #4 ranked heavyweight in the world, Ngannou has undoubtedly got a huge amount of potential to be an eventual champion in the UFC. He now sets his sights firmly on Alistair Overeem and looks to add another famous scalp to his growing list of fallen foes.
